about

Methodology Deptartment

The initial objective was to give students and young researchers the necessary methodological tools to accompany them in their academic and professional curriculum and thus guarantee their success. In fact, we started from the observation that there was a huge gap in methodology and that there really was a need for a methodology course applied to the discipline of study in order to be more successful in a project of study or study. Through its different departments, MGU applies to the teaching of a disciplinary and infra-disciplinary methodology. As part of the methodology department of research in the human sciences, we offer preparation modules addressed to students who are preparing a master and DBA in human sciences and management. These modules cover different topics such as: academic writing, the choice of a problem, hypotheses or the research question. These practical modules allow students to deepen and develop the knowledge necessary for their academic or professional career by offering them the opportunity to carry out practical and interactive exercises. The goal of this interactivity is to reach the stage of self-correction and to allow them to be independent and autonomous. The department of applied methodology is the largest department at MGU. It brings together methodologists, scholars and researchers of research methodology in humanities. It offers, like other departments, a multilingual program through courses, seminars and workshops on general methodology and basic and specific techniques. The department of Methodology& Cognitive Science has been created in December 2007 with a specific program that has been developed since and adapted to the needs of students and researchers and also to the needs of all those who want to learn the practical and theoretical methodology in different areas of the humanities. This department brings together specialist teaching methodology. It has the means to ensure the theoretical and practical methodology. By achieving its objectives, the Department of Methodology& Cognitive Sciences will be guided by academic and strategic considerations and the importance of education and training, to promote the methodology and education of human resources. The Department will develop its relations with other organizations concerned with the prospective research, mainly in Europe but also in other parts of the world, and will be likely to launch cooperative activities with these organizations.

focus

The Department of Methodology& Cognitive Sciences focuses at first on the teaching of methodology in various disciplines. These teachings are theoretical and will be provided within the framework of workshops of analysis and data processing. The Department also organizes various specialized training sessions for senior managers from public and private institutions. The Department sees its contribution to the education through young PhD students’ research as one of its essential tasks, conducted in close relationship with its academic partners. The Department will continue its active involvement in education, paying special attention to the quality of research and, more generally, the quality of the training received by these PhD students and to the preparation of their employability and their field research. In 2020, the department will release a methodology reference book. This department also continues its own electronic multidisciplinary journal presenting articles in different fields of Methodology& Cognitive Sciences.

Attention

Attention to all applicants for an international certificate of professional competence.Since 2023, Methodologica Governance University has definitively ended the ESCO program and replaced it with a new program. Consequently, Methodologica Governance University no longer supports the ESCO Program, and any certificate issued under the name and logo of this program since 2023 is not valid. So, you have two options:

1. If you already have an ESCO certificate (which is no longer valid), you can renew your professional competence certificate by requesting the new CFC certificate.
2. If you want to obtain a new official certificate of professional competence issued by Methodologica Governance University and Futurale Canada, you can submit your request on the Futurale Canada website.

Furthermore, Methodologica Governance University, along with its partner in North America, Futurale Canada, has launched a new, much more comprehensive program than the ESCO program, called the CFC. This new Program is designed according to new methods and international criteria, especially North American criteria.

Be careful!

Methodologica Governance University has no representatives in any country, and all collaboration contracts with its representatives, including in Iran, have been canceled since 2023. The ESCO certificates issued since 2023 are invalid, and the use of the ESCO logo is illegal.
