FORESIGHT LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP
Foresight Leadership Fellowship (FLF):
Applied Research or project in Strategic Foresight & Governance
This is not a traditional academic postdoctoral position. Instead, it is an exclusive, project-based fellowship for professionals who already hold a doctorate (Ph.D., D.B.A., D.P.M., etc.) and want to apply advanced foresight methodologies to a critical, real-world challenge. The fellowship is designed to produce a tangible, high-impact output that contributes to the Fellow’s organization or industry.
Program Structure
Total Duration: 100 Hours
The program is structured around a single, intensive applied research project, supported by a series of masterclasses and expert consultations.
Phase 1: Workshops & Masterclasses (30 Hours)
- Duration: 6 weeks (5 hours/week)
- Format: One-on-one sessions, masterclasses, and group discussions.
- Module 1: Advanced Research Methods for Foresight (10 hours): This module focuses on cutting-edge research methodologies. Fellows will refine their project proposals and gain access to advanced tools for qualitative and quantitative data analysis, particularly for unstructured or emerging data.
- Module 2: The Foresight Leadership Studio (10 hours): This is a collaborative session where Fellows present their project ideas to a panel of experts. They’ll receive critical feedback on their research questions and project designs, helping them to frame a high-impact study.
- Module 3: Dissemination & Impact (10 hours): This module focuses on creating a real-world impact. Fellows will learn how to translate complex research findings into compelling narratives, develop actionable policy recommendations, and prepare their work for publication in top-tier journals or presentation at professional conferences.
Phase 2: Applied Research Project (70 Hours)
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Format: Independent research with dedicated faculty mentorship.
The core of the fellowship is the applied research project. Each Fellow will focus on a specific, high-level problem or opportunity within their field, conducting original research and developing a significant final work.
Examples of Applied Projects:
- Developing a new framework for assessing supply chain vulnerabilities to climate change.
- Designing an integrative foresight model to help governments anticipate public health crises.
- Creating a strategic blueprint for an industry’s transition to a circular economy.
- Conducting a deep-dive study on the future of work in a specific sector, proposing new models of leadership and organizational design.
Project Milestones:
- Project Launch & Methodology Design (15 hours): Refining the research question and finalizing the methodology with a faculty mentor.
- Data Collection & Analysis (40 hours): Conducting primary research, analyzing data, and developing scenarios or models based on findings.
- Final Report & Dissemination Plan (15 hours): Writing the final research paper or report, including a detailed plan for how the findings will be applied and disseminated to the relevant audience.
Evaluation & Fellowship Award
Evaluation will be based on:
- Project Proposal & Design: 20%
- Final Applied Research Project: 80%
Upon successful completion and acceptance of the final project, the Fellow will be awarded the Foresight Leadership Fellowship from Methodologica Governance University (France) and Futurale College (Canada). They will also be invited to present their work at the university’s annual Futurale Foresight Forum.
