Methodology Deptartment
The initial objective was to give students and young researchers the necessary methodological tools to accompany them in their academic and professional curriculum and thus guarantee their success. In fact, we started from the observation that there was a huge gap in methodology and that there really was a need for a methodology course applied to the discipline of study in order to be more successful in a project of study or study. Through its different departments, MGU applies to the teaching of a disciplinary and infra-disciplinary methodology. As part of the methodology department of research in the human sciences, we offer preparation modules addressed to students who are preparing a master and DBA in human sciences and management. These modules cover different topics such as: academic writing, the choice of a problem, hypotheses or the research question. These practical modules allow students to deepen and develop the knowledge necessary for their academic or professional career by offering them the opportunity to carry out practical and interactive exercises. The goal of this interactivity is to reach the stage of self-correction and to allow them to be independent and autonomous. The department of applied methodology is the largest department at MGU. It brings together methodologists, scholars and researchers of research methodology in humanities. It offers, like other departments, a multilingual program through courses, seminars and workshops on general methodology and basic and specific techniques. The department of Methodology& Cognitive Science has been created in December 2007 with a specific program that has been developed since and adapted to the needs of students and researchers and also to the needs of all those who want to learn the practical and theoretical methodology in different areas of the humanities. This department brings together specialist teaching methodology. It has the means to ensure the theoretical and practical methodology. By achieving its objectives, the Department of Methodology& Cognitive Sciences will be guided by academic and strategic considerations and the importance of education and training, to promote the methodology and education of human resources. The Department will develop its relations with other organizations concerned with the prospective research, mainly in Europe but also in other parts of the world, and will be likely to launch cooperative activities with these organizations.
